General Mitchell International Airport Baggage Claim Renovation

IBC Engineering Services, Inc. provided electrical design for this $45 million renovation project that serves 800,000 passengers each month.  This complex phased project included the replacement of five baggage carousels, structural modifications, complete replacement of the building’s enclosure, addition of new mechanical penthouses, and the installation of new lighting, power and switchgear.  Green features were incorporated throughout the project.  The renovation also incorporated a green roof, day lighting and features a smart lighting control system and an energy dashboard to show live statistics on energy performance.
