IBC Engineering Services, Inc. established in 1990 is an award-winning engineering firm based in Wisconsin, with offices in Illinois and Florida.  We specialize in design and commissioning of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings.

We are currently seeking an electrical design engineer to join our Waukesha, Wisconsin team. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in Electrical systems design and engineering. The position will be working in a team setting with engineers and designers from all disciplines.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with Professional Engineering license.
  • 8-12 years’ experience in electrical engineering for buildings.
  • Candidate should have 8-12 years of experience in electrical design and be able to perform work requiring independent judgment, knowledge of engineering principals, procedures, and code requirements.
  •  Ability to self-perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project; from proposal; design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimate, to client reviews.
  • Solid foundation of design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
  • Must be adaptable self-starter, able to problem solve, learn and apply new technologies with minimal support.
  • Ability to work with and be supported by other senior engineers for guidance and act as a mechanical lead or project lead.
  • Ability to mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers and designers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross disciplinary team members and clients.
  • Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change.
  • Ability to promote and market electrical scope and your skills to new and existing clients.

senior project manager

IBC Engineering Services, Inc. is an award-winning engineering firm based in Wisconsin, with offices in Illinois and Florida.  We specialize in design and commissioning of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Waukesha, Wisconsin team. The position will be working in a team setting with engineers and designers from all disciplines.

 Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a variety of projects, develop client relationships, deliver projects according to client needs and budget, and guide a team of engineers from project conception though occupancy. You will also participate in project interviews, providing high-level client service, establishing long-term partnerships, keeping abreast of market trends, and ensuring successful resolution of all technical and service issues. 

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional engineering registration.
  • Candidate should have 10 or more years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical engineering and be able to perform work requiring independent judgment, knowledge of engineering principals, procedures, and code requirements.
  • Ability to successfully manage large and complex projects.
  • Must be adaptable self-starter, able to problem solve, learn and apply new technologies with minimal support.
  • Ability to work with and be supported by other senior engineers for guidance and act as a mechanical or electrical lead engineer.
  • Ability to mentor junior or mid-level mechanical engineers and designers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross disciplinary team members and clients.
  • Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change.
  • Multi-tasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
