Grand Opening Gala of the Baird Center Expansion accompanied by Henderson Engineers!
The Baird Center had it’s Grand Opening May 16th with entertainment, fine cuisine, and a night full of wonder. With Idina Menzel, well-known as Maureen from “Rent”, performing for the night was a wonderful way to wrap up years of hard work and dedication!
IBC Engineering Services, Inc. worked with Henderson Engineers (pictured above) and designed electrical, plumbing, and lighting for the Baird Center. The $456 million project involved lots of hard work and dedication. Doubling the size of the center to 1.3 million total square feet, the expansion has now allowed for the center to enter a new era. The exposition hall added on 300,000 square feet which includes 24 new meeting rooms, no less than 400 indoor parking spaces, add on 6 loading docks, an executive kitchen, and feature a beautiful fourth-floor ballroom with space for a minimum of 2,000 for a seated dinner.
As many teams gathered and worked for this project since 2021, it is a great opportunity to show appreciation for the founder of our firm to have gotten us in a position to attend the grand opening.
“IBC Engineering Services is proud to be a part of the design team for the Wisconsin Center Expansion Project and to be able to contribute to its success.”
