MEP Upgrades

IBC Engineering Services was retained by the Racine Unified School District to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the alterations and addition at the field house at Park High School in Racine. The project involved improvements to the existing 31,000 square foot field house, and an addition of approximately 7,500 square feet to accommodate a new weight room, women’s locker room, storage area, and press box.

The work completed included new electrical service to field house, review of existing lighting systems in gymnasium, redesign of performance lighting, design of humidity controls for new wood gymnasium floor and miscellaneous MEP design associated with motorizing bleachers and basketball hoops. The new addition (including a weight room, women’s locker room, storage area, and press box), included full MEP design services.
