Gateway Technical College’s iMET Center is the region’s first flexible manufacturing training center and includes training in computer numerical control (CNC) machining, welding, metal fabrication, automated manufacturing systems, and industrial robotics.

After a major renovation and an 18,000 square foot addition, this state of the art facility is home to the Industrial Design Fab Lab, a creative workspace that offers inventors, students, and businesses the opportunity to take an idea and use programs to bring it to life, prototype it and then create the finished product in the flexible manufacturing lab. The Fab Lab is one of 100 in the world.
